College Education Department
The College Education Department oversees public intermediate and degree colleges across Sindh — expanding access, raising standards, and preparing students for higher education and the workforce.
Advancing college education across Sindh
The College Education Department (CED) is responsible for the administration, planning and development of government intermediate and degree colleges throughout the province of Sindh. Through modern systems and dedicated educators, the Department works to make quality higher-secondary and college education accessible to every student.
Our Mission
To provide equitable, affordable and quality college education that empowers the youth of Sindh with knowledge, skills and values for a productive future.
Our Vision
A province where every eligible student has access to a well-resourced college and a transparent, merit-based path to higher education.
What We Do
We plan and manage colleges, oversee faculty and administration, run merit-based admissions, and digitise services so that governance is transparent and student-centred.
Guiding the Department
Our government's promise to the youth of Sindh is simple: opportunity must follow merit, not influence. The College Education Department is expanding access to quality colleges and putting fairness and transparency at the heart of admissions, so that a student from any district competes on equal terms. Study hard — the system will be fair to you.
Education is the surest investment in Sindh's future. We are committed to strengthening our colleges, supporting our teachers, and ensuring that every deserving student — from Karachi to Kashmore — advances on merit alone. Your talent, not your connections, decides your future.
We have rebuilt the department around fairness, speed and good governance. By digitising our systems and streamlining admissions, we are making services faster and more accountable for students, teachers and citizens across Sindh. Our offices and this portal are here to support you at every step.
The Directorate is committed to placing students in the college that fits their aspirations and to raising academic quality across every campus. With capable teachers and well-managed colleges, our students are prepared for higher education and for life. The Department stands with every college and every learner.
