In short: CEMIS is the official staff application of the College Education Department, Government of Sindh (package pk.gov.sindh.ced.cemis_mobile). You can ask us to delete your CEMIS account and its associated personal data by emailing [email protected] from, or quoting, your registered details. Some records tied to your official government service may be retained where the law requires.
1. Overview
This page explains how an employee can request deletion of their CEMIS account and the personal data the app holds about them. Because CEMIS is a workforce application tied to your official service record with the Department, deletion requests are handled by the Department rather than through a self-service button in the app.
2. How to request deletion
To request deletion of your account and associated data:
- Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “CEMIS account deletion request”.
- Include your full name and personnel / employee number so we can verify your identity.
- Send the request from an email address associated with you, or be prepared to verify your identity through the Department.
Once we have verified that the request comes from the account holder, we will process it as described below.
3. What is deleted
On a verified request, we delete the personal data that is not required to be retained, including:
- Your CEMIS login credentials and the app account itself.
- The binding between your account and your device.
- Your push-notification token.
- Attendance selfie images that are not part of a required official record.
- Any data cached locally on your device (also removed when you log out or uninstall the app).
4. What may be retained
As CEMIS supports official attendance and human-resource functions of a government department, certain records may be retained after account deletion where retention is required by law or by government record-keeping and audit rules — for example, attendance and service records associated with your employment. Such records are kept only for as long as those rules require, and are protected in line with our Privacy Policy.
5. Timeline
We aim to action verified deletion requests within 30 days. If a request cannot be fully completed because some records must be retained, we will tell you what was deleted and what was kept, and why.
